Fashion Marketing students create annual seasonal display at Old Orchard

Old-Orchard

Heading to Old Orchard for some holiday shopping anytime soon? Be sure to check out the impressive work of New Trier's very own business students!

Marketing and Merchandising in Fashion students rang in the holiday spirit by creating a seasonal display for Westfield Old Orchard Shopping Center. The impressive visual merchandising project can be found in between The North Face and Gap stores, located off Skokie Blvd.

Students partnered with professional visual merchandising expert Amanda Wolfson, who visited with the class throughout the semester to prepare the final display.

Business Education teacher Melissa Duffy has partnered with the local shopping center every winter and spring for the past five years. This year's display, which went up Nov. 15, is called "Holiday Soireè." The theme guided students in creating props, identifying fashion trends to be represented, and buying, dressing and accessorizing mannequins.
