What path did you pursue after IGSS and New Trier?
After graduating New Trier, I attended Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It's a tiny little liberal arts school where I studied business with a minor in environmental studies. I spent 6 months of my college experience abroad in Thailand studying environmental science.
What are your future academic and/or professional plans?
After I graduated, I spent a few months job hunting. Once I felt like I was in a good place and some offers started coming through, I decided to go back to Thailand for a few weeks with a buddy of mine. Quick plug: if you get a chance to tour southeast Asia, do it. When I got back from that trip I accepted an offer for a sales position at GrubHub Chicago, which is where I'm working now.
How did your time in IGSS impact you as a learner and person?
IGSS was a game changer for me in that it's where I learned the importance of problem solving on a personal level. In this program I figured out, through trial and error, how I can best approach a problem as Greg . Everybody does things a little bit differently, and when students explore their own methodology, they are more able to find individual success. I use this every day in sales, as I'm constantly looking for new ways to convey information so that potential clients will see the value of my service through their own lenses.
