On March 2, a group of German language students from New Trier attended German High School Day at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where they achieved great success! The students were very motivated this year, according to NT German teacher Venera Stabinksy, who said German language students are offered the opportunity to participate on a volunteer basis.

New Trier participated in four contest categories. Sophomore Anna Shah won 1st place in the Spelling Bee Contest, freshman Hannah Sheridan won 1st place in the City Guide Presentation, and sophomore Sabrina Tossing won 3rd place in the German Poetry Contest.

"We all had a lot of fun, and all participants are already planning for next year!" Stabinksy said.
