Registration opens for summer courses at New Trier Extension

If you're looking to hone your cooking skills, tone your muscles or learn a new language, summer is the perfect time and New Trier Extension has the perfect class for you.

New Trier Extension, the community education program of New Trier Township High School District 203, offers more than 500 onsite classes throughout the year during fall, winter-spring and summer sessions. The summer catalog was mailed to township residents on May 5, and online registration is live at .

The catalog includes 165 reasonably-priced courses, from perennial favorites to many new offerings this season. Most classes in the summer session begin in mid-June.

"It is a great pleasure seeing students come through our programs in an effort to improve themselves, their skills and their lives," said DeDe Kern, New Trier Extension Manager. "Please take a few moments to look at our summer catalog and join us for a class or two. We welcome your feedback."

New Trier Extension is pleased to offer online registration. The registration system, RegWerks, is linked to the New Trier Web Store and allows you to view class offerings, register in an instant, and receive your receipt electronically.

In most cases, registering online with NTX will allow you to register until 7 a.m. the day prior to the class start date. NTX encourages you to give the new, convenient online system a try; and, as always, register early to avoid class cancellations. However, should you prefer not to register online, NTX still welcomes your registration by mail, fax, or in-person. Walk-in registration hours are from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday at 7 Happ Road, Northfield.

Any changes and last minute class openings can be found on NTX's Facebook page at .

NTX also offers hundreds of web-based classes through Ed2go, which offers you the convenience of learning from the comfort of your home, your office and even when you're on vacation. Choose from more than 300 instructor-facilitated courses. A new section of each six-week course starts every month.
