…part one…
those doing Project ONE, your solo selection and name of accompanist is due via email on the Friday one week before the end of the quarter (March 21, 2014). What should appear within the body of the email should ONLY be the following in this order: Your Full Name, Title and Composer of Selection, Private Teacher Name, Accompanist Name.  Elements to consider for your solo performance: 1) The solo should be at an appropriate skill level and your private teacher should help you make the choice, 2) Your communication with the accompanist is crucial to the success of your performance experience. Once you have chosen your selection you must give a copy of the accompanist part to the accompanist. You must rehearse with your accompanist at least one week prior to the performance. 3) On the performance day, you must dress appropriately, that is Men should wear a Dress Shirt, Dress Slacks and Dress Shoes.  Women should wear a Dress Blouse, Dress Slacks or Dress Skirt and Dress Shoes. No Blue Jeans, No Flip-Flops.  Inappropriate dress will lower your final grade. 4) At the performance, introduce yourself, the name of the piece, the composer and the name of your accompanist.  At the conclusion of your performance, you must bow and smile.
