JV Week of May 6
Wed=Parent/Sibling/Son Event, new date, 4-6pm. At 4pm=Sr. Day with brief ceremony/photos.
6-6:30=Sandwiches from Potbellies. Bring $5. All will be given a partner.
Afternoon update: If you don't have a parent/sibling coming, we now need two JV to leave Winn. campus on mini-bus at 3:30. Aaron and TBA....
Thurs=Last full day of practice (Captain and Senior-run practice; what are your favorite games/drills?);
If rain, we will meet in room 302 from 3:30-4:30 (no running)
Fri=Last day of season; exit interviews, exit surveys, etc. Location is moved to Winnetka campus courts, 3:40 until 5:40 (or a bit later if it did not rain on Thurs.)

USTA Tournaments: If you are playing a USTA tournament on or after 2/25 please contact Tad asap. tad@harigmfg.com If approved, you must complete an IHSA form 10 days in advance of the tournament start date or you will not be allowed to participate - no exceptions! The New Trier team should be your priority during the high school tennis season.

Past Varsity Results:
The New Trier Boys Tennis team finished 2nd in State in May, 2012.
This followed first place finishes in 2011 and 2010.
The team also repeated as National Champions in Kentucky
The New Trier Varsity Boys defended their State Championship in May, 2011
--Senior Robert Stineman was State Champion in singles, the first repeat champion in New Trier history. He did not drop a set in the tournament
--Jared Hiltzik, Junior, finished second, only losing to his teammate in the all-Trevian finals
--Junior Drew Campbell and Freshman Tom Fawcett finished second, the highest for a NT doubles team in years
--Juniors Rob Jacobson and Nate Jacobson won 5 matches in the back draw to finish 5th.
The New Trier Varsity Boys won the State Championship in 2010.
The team defeated Hinsdale Central by just one point in a very dramatic finish.
It was the first NT team victory since 2005.
--Robert Stineman was State Champion in singles, the first singles winner since 1989, Tad Eckert
--Calvin Mang/Jared Hiltzik finished 3rd, losing only to the state champions
--Branter Jones, despite a broken finger, finished 9th-12th place
--Rob Jacobson and Nate Jacobson won 5 matches and fnished 17th-24th place

2013 SCHEDULE: Choose your level and "View Schedule" at: http://www.trevianschedule.org SUMMER SCHOOL TENNIS: We offer two morning classes during the 6 weeks of summer school. Classes are led by New Trier coaches. Age ranges from those finishing 8th grade to those finishing sophomore year. Many students have been on a NT tennis team or plan to try out. There is no preferencial treatment during tryouts for those who have taken a class. For those who plan to play multiple tournaments over the summer, summer school tennis might not be your best plan.
