If anybody has spotted our magazine in advisory, and taken a few minutes to flip through it that person would have some idea of our mission and purpose. For those who have not yet done so a brief explanation follows.

To satisfy the need for a literary magazine at New Trier Logos exists, providing all students the opportunity to share their work with the student population. Logos accepts many types of submissions, including, but not limited to, poetry, short stories, plays, drawings and paintings. In short we accept nearly all forms of quality written and artistic works that students provide. On a weekly basis we meet Tuesdays at 3:30 in 377. There we put together everything, ultimately producing a magazine that everyone can be proud of. Logos-Gargoyle Logos-Gargoyle

Logos embraces creative forms of expression, no matter what is being discussed. In that spirit our mission statement lies below, in the form of an acrostic poem:

Life is full of surprises
Occurrences, both fine and rotten
Grand happenings often surprise us
Often vanished, soon after forgotten.

Make then an effort to see with fresh eyes
And take note of that which you see
Great art in all of nature does lie
And echoes for eternity
Zeniths in every moment exist
Imbedded in life as we know it
Numerous wonders, too many to list
Embodied in tales told by poets.
