Introducing the WNTH Radio Drive to Keep Vinyl Alive!

In an era of pirated downloads and digital mp3s, it's important that we expose young music-lovers to music's most beloved medium- the vinyl record - and all the hard work and artistic genius that makes them spin.

Having our very own library of records would improve the content broadcasted on WNTH, increase diversity of music played, teach our DJs how to handle and care for records and record players, expand their appreciation for music, and help us leave a lasting legacy at the station that has already taught us so much about music, passion, and self-expression.

"Vinyl is the real deal. And it's not just me or a little pet thing or some kind of retro romantic thing from the past. It is still alive." - Jack White

We want YOU to help us rebuild our vinyl library! Look around your house, garage, basement, neighbor's yard sale, etc. and find all the old records you don't want any more. We're accepting anything playable on a standard record player no matter the genre, artist, or age! Whether you just want to clean out your old collection or donate a few of your favorites, we promise to take great care of each record for generations of DJs to come!

Too fond of your records, or don't have any left? Donate a gift certificate instead! Reckless Records is one of the most popular record stores in Chicago. With three locations, Reckless has a diverse selection and affordable prices for our staff to purchase all kinds of vinyl for the station. Your purchase of a gift certificate will go straight towards financing our new collection!

Here's how to donate:

RECORDS: Record donations will be accepted from Monday, March 24th - Friday, March 28th from 8th period to 4:30pm in the Winnetka campus radio station (room 504 above the B & C stairwells). If you would like to arrange an alternative drop-off time or location, please email with your request!
