Dear Junior Parents and Guardians,
Due to state COVID-19 guidance on group gatherings, New Trier is no longer a host site for the June 13, 2020 national ACT. All registered students should have received an email from ACT about an alternate testing location.
In an effort to offer students another testing opportunity during this unprecedented time, New Trier became a host site for the July 18, 2020 national ACT. However, we reached maximum capacity very quickly because we had to reduce our testing size to adhere to COVID-19 safety guidelines and social distancing. New Trier is planning to be a host site for the September, October, and December national ACT tests.
Please visit the ACT COVID-19 webpage for updates.

2/25/20 District ACT Results
District ACT scores are generally released after 2 weeks at the earliest or 8 weeks at the latest. Exams are scored in bunches - not alphabetically, by state, schools, etc. Score reports will be sent to the school and will also be sent to the students' homes. At some point, scores should be entered into their ACT student account - usually in June or July. As far as we know, COVID-19 hasn't interrupted the scoring process.
All in-person AP exams have been canceled, and the College Board is offering the opportunity for students to take AP tests at home instead. Click HERE for updated information from College Board, which includes specific information about exam schedule , exam features and timing , exam scoring , and exam security . AP teachers will be sharing this information with their classes.
Please contact Patt Schneider at email@example.com if you want to cancel your exam registration and receive a refund.

State Standardized Testing (PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10, and SAT)
ISBE submitted a statewide waiver application to U.S. Department of Education (ED) to waive all federally required assessments, summative designations, and reporting on accountability metrics on the Illinois Report Card for the 2019-20 school year. ED has communicated that based on its review of the ISBE request, it appears to meet all statutory requirements and, accordingly, ED intends to issue a formal approval of the ISBE waiver request in the coming weeks. Illinois may begin to implement the waiver while ED processes the formal approval.
Executive Order 2020-15 suspends state assessments for the duration of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation. With this order, state assessments, including the PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10, SAT, DLM-AA, and Constitution exam are all suspended for Spring 2020.
