Mental Health Student Lunch and Learns
One of our goals for this year is to ensure that New Trier continues to focus our efforts on the health and well-being of our students, staff, parents, and the entire community. We want to make sure all of you have tools and resources when you need support, academically or emotionally. We also want to make sure that we identify students who are struggling and, in partnership with families, connect them to the right resources.
For students at the Winnetka Campus, we are planning a series of lunch and learn sessions to help understand more about the adolescent brain, normalize the feelings you have, share the symptoms of and help for mental health problems, and provide you with tools/strategies that will help you manage through the ups and downs of high school life. We will be working with students to plan the series and will share more information with students. All students are welcome. Bring your lunch!
If you have a question about these services or are concerned about a student's mental health, please reach out to their adviser. If the situation is urgent, call 911 or go to an emergency room. Students also may access an on-call therapist 24-7 through Text-a-Tip at 844-823-5323, text TREVHELP.
