New Trier Orchestras
The New Trier orchestras consist of 250 students in five curricular orchestras, including Freshman Orchestra, Freshman Chamber Players, Concert Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra. Symphony and Chamber Orchestra have a full complement of winds and percussion who rehearse daily. The New Trier orchestra program has received national recognition from Downbeat Magazine, The Grammy Foundation and Introductions, WFMT 98.7 Chicago's classical radio station. Additionally, New Trier's orchestras have been featured performers in Orchestra Hall in Chicago, the Sydney Opera House and Carnegie Hall in New York. All students with previous instrumental training are welcome to participate - there is a place for everyone!
