Girls Tennis

Tryouts start Monday 8/10/26.
Freshman - 8am - 11am at NT Nfld North Cts
Sophomore - 8-11am at NT Winnetka Cts
JV - 1-4pm at NT Winnetka Cts
Varsity - 1-4pm at NT Nfld North Cts.

Tryouts can extend through Saturday 8/15 though most teams are picked by Thursday 8/13 except the JV which can extend thru Saturday.

In case of rain, stay flexible as tryout times can change. Once tryouts are done practice starts immediately. Team pictures are Saturday, August 22.

Teams are picked by playing matches against the other students trying out. The format for matches is normally a super breaker to 10 points. We do singles matches as well as doubles matches and follow the results.

Attitude, sportsmanship, and work ethic can also answer into the decision making process.

We actually keep close to 100 girls in our NT Girls Tennis Program, which is one of the largest girls high school tennis programs in the country, but sometimes still not enough to avoid cuts.

In October of 2025 the NT Girls Varsity Tennis Team completed an extremely rare back to back to back State Championships.

Our singles players Julia Ludwig and Ingrid Fiedler both finished First Team All State as did the Dbls team of Ava Katz/Lily Hermann.  Our other Dbls team of Annabel Kim/Olivia Orlando finished 2nd Team All State.  What a great achievement as Coach Jerry Morse-Karzen commented, “What a great bunch of talented girls both on and off the court!”
