Registration Process for Transfer Students

If your child is transferring to New Trier High School now, or planning to attend NTHS next year, follow these steps. 

Complete Online Enrollment

If your child has never been enrolled at New Trier High School, please click here to fill out our pre-registration form. 

Additional documents that are necessary for registration:

• Student’s original birth certificate (Translated into English, if necessary)
• Current IEP/504, if applicable
• Official/Unofficial transcript from all high schools attended
• Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Student transfer form (if transferring from IL public school)
• Student Transfer Form (if transferring from a private or Out-of-State public school) 
• Health documents on State of IL forms 

Once submitted, you will receive further instructions and next steps from our team.  Following your submission of the pre-registration form, you can expect to…

• Receive follow-up communication from the registrar requesting required documents
• Complete the registration process
• Schedule an Enrollment Placement Test
• Meet with your student’s Graduating Class Team for course registration
• Receive confirmation of Health Form Compliance from Health Services
• Setup a PowerSchool parent portal login
• Receive and setup student iPad and technology access
• Coordinate with Student Fees Department
• Signup for school transportation, if needed
