Happy 2026 sophomore parents!

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through the school year. We hope your students have found their footing and are making the most of their sophomore experience.

As the semester gets going, the Class of 2028 will become more involved in its class service initiative. This year, we are supporting The Grace Network, a Chicago-based, volunteer-run organization that provides essential hygiene items and other basic necessities to Chicago Public School students in need. Almost 15% of CPS students experience homelessness at some point in their education, making access to these resources a critical issue.

Through this partnership, our students will gain insight into how life circumstances beyond the classroom can shape students’ experiences at school. As part of their class service initiative, they will support The Grace Network through item drives, care kit assembly, and volunteer engagement.
