NEW TRIER KITCHENS COMPOST NEARLY 15 GALLONS OF DAILY FOOD WASTE

New Trier High School's cafeteria kitchens at the Winnetka and Northfield campuses collect food waste and coffee grounds each day. After collection, the scraps are put in a composting bin daily. It is estimated the kitchens collect 4-5 bins at each location a day (3 gallon bins each).
