Draw controls and caused turnovers help the Trevs take care of Carmel

In the first game between New Trier and Carmel in school history, the Trevs controlled the draws and forced 10 turnovers to win the time of possession and defeat Carmel 13-5.

The draw team won 14 of 20 draws, including four each by Audrey Rudolph, Brooke Ross and Kennedy Meier. Freshman Ellie Bornhoeft and sophomore Hana Asghari each grabbed a draw also. The Trevians attack struggled initially against Carmel's back zone, but eventually found open cutters to pull away from a 7-4 score with five unanswered goals. The defense also held Carmel scoreless for over 18 minutes in the second half. 

Lily Wallace led the defense with six ground balls, Rudloph had three caused turnovers on the ride and seven different Trevians scored.

Addie Shevitz had four goals, including the first two of the second half. Grace Curry had three goals and an assist. Emma Curry added two goals and Claire Ratke had two beautiful assists from the top of the fan. Bornhoeft, Ava Diamond, Rudolph and Meier each tallied a goal also.
