Administrative Responsibilities
- Assists the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction to set the instructional vision and teaching and learning standards for the district in alignment with the strategic plan
- Supervises and evaluates tenured and non-tenured teachers
- Develops and oversees the District’s professional development program, including Trevian Professional Learning Collaborative, Instructional Coaching, and Institute Days; co-chairs Professional Development Council
- Develops and oversees four-year teacher induction and mentoring program in collaboration with the Professional Learning Coordinator and Teacher Induction Facilitators
- Directs new leader induction and mentoring program in collaboration with the Chief Human Resources Officer
- Oversees curriculum processes, including new course proposals, textbook adoptions, Instructional and Professional Growth Grants, Projects of Excellence, and Advanced Placement Audit process
- Partners with Director of Special Education and Associate Principals of Student Services on MTSS-related instructional strategies, focused on classroom-based Tier 1 strategies
- Monitors curriculum mandates and updates from ISBE and collaborates with department leaders to ensure they are implemented with fidelity
- Oversees annual revision of Program of Studies and School Profile
- Administers state and federal grant programs related to vocational and technical education, including CTE and Perkins grants and related programmatic requirements
- Oversees district testing program, including administration of the following tests: 8th grade placement, ACT and PreACT assessments, Advanced Placement tests, Seal of Biliteracy, PSAT/NMSQT, and other standardized tests
