Trevs open up with tremendous team win over Hill Academy from Canada

For the first time in program history, New Trier hosted a team from Canada. The Trevs played tough defense and held a very talented and well coached Hill Academy team in check, winning 13-6.

Both teams were scoreless early, and then traded goals to make it 3-3, but that's when the Trevian offense exploded for five unanswered goals to take an 8-3 halftime lead. The defense really stepped up in the second half, shutting out Hill for the first 21 minutes.

New Trier had 14 caused turnovers, four by Grace Mawicke. Kennedy Meier, Ellie Bornhoeft, Audrey Rudolph and Anna Seftenberg all combined to get 13 draws for the Trevs. Addie Shevitz led the team with five goals, including her 100th career goal.
