Description: A space dedicated to the ELS students to learn how to care for plants and the environment. Also, they gain skills like time management and hand eye coordination using various gardening tools.
Job Details:
- Kids help manage the greenhouse space and care for plants there.
- Students will water/pot and soil plants as well as pick up and drop off plants around New Trier office spaces.
Job tasks:
- Watering plants/leaves as well as ensuring the temperature of greenhouse is kept at a level where the greenery can survive.
- Deliver potted flowers to various offices around the campus.
- Potting plants and floral in a nice display so they are ready for sale
- Throughout the year, the staff/student workers of the greenhouse prep floral arrangements for the time of year and work with plants that are in season (ex: Holidays is poinsettia season). These flowers are sold to staff and New Trier Community.
