Strong start leads to win over Rockford
The Trevians went up 7-0 before the Rams got on the board, and controlled possession of the ball most of the first three quarters, en route to a 16-7 win over the Michigan power.
The draw team, led by Holly Smith (five draw controls), Ellie Bornhoeft (three), Meg Riley (three) and Avery Anderson (two) helped the attack have continuous looks that resulted in lots of scoring for the Trevians. The defense also dominated, limiting Rockford to one goal in 34 minutes of play. Meg Gallagher had another nice game with nine goals. Smith led the team with three caused turnovers also.
On attack, ten different players contributed toward the scoring. Avery Anderson had three goals, and Borhhoeft, Smith, Hana Asghari and Logan Savarie all added two goals. Claire Ratke had a goal and two assists.
