27 newly inducted members of Gamma Gamma, the Illinois Chapter of the Delta Epsilon Phi (ΔΕΦ), the National German Honor Society, were present at the ceremony on Tuesday, March 18: Campbell Bach, Daan Beekman, Quinn Brahm, Kyle Chang, Bea Chapman, Florenzo Cruz-Garbo, Eddie Djenev, Indigo Dunderdale, Jack Egan, Julia Floessel, Avery Gable, Veronica Gabriel, Alice Green, Emiliano Gutierrey Iglesias, Mary Heger, Marie Kunzer, Emily Murashko, Jake O’Connell, Auden Osburn, Abe Peters, Nathaniel Potterfield, Sasha Quintana Ottiger, Keenan Roderick, Katie Rogers, Val Stone, David VanDamme, Joe Volk.

Delta Epsilon Phi (ΔΕΦ) National Honor Society for High School Students of German recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of learners of German. The organization was founded in 1968 to reward scholastic achievement in the study of German and to promote interest in the study of German language, literature, and civilization.

This year, 32 Juniors and Seniors who have completed three semesters of German with a 3.3 grade point average in German and have an overall grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, were eligible for induction into the New Trier German Honor Society.

Frau Stabinsky and Frau Steen were also pleased to recognize the following Seniors who have already earned the Seal of Biliteracy in German: James Powers, Nate Kendall, Bea Chapman.
