21 newly inducted members of Gamma Gamma, the Illinois Chapter of the Delta Epsilon Phi (ΔΕΦ), the National German Honor Society, were present at the ceremony on Thursday, March 14: Marrin Berg, Katri Raba, Tessa Glueck, Lilli Tanner, Lukas Leonardson, Eda Memik, Annette Altpeter, Emily Booden, Ben Toft, Will Landwer, James Powers, Daniel Skeels, Graham Breaker, Cole Adam, Brian Areas, Max Klie, Jake Bentivenga, Ally Fischer, Ian Flatt, Nate Kendall, Melanie Bowen.

Delta Epsilon Phi (ΔΕΦ) National Honor Society for High School Students of German recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of learners of German. The organization was founded in 1968 to reward scholastic achievement in the study of German and to promote interest in the study of German language, literature, and civilization.

This year, 26 Juniors who have completed three semesters of German with a 3.6 grade point average in German and have an overall grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, were eligible for induction into the New Trier German Honor Society.

Frau Stabinsky and Frau Steen were also pleased to recognize the following Seniors who have already earned the Seal of Biliteracy in German: Makenzie Gable, Lily Grady, Max Steen, and Jasper Zettelmeyer.
