    OPEN TO SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS, AND SENIORS 1.0 MAJOR CREDIT AT LEVEL 9 / .5 ELECTIVE CREDIT

    This course uses the creation of three-dimensional art as a means to develop and enhance a student's understanding and knowledge of art. Students explore a wide variety of materials, including clay, wood, plaster, paper, metal, and found objects. The class uses both historical and contemporary models as a catalyst for projects and discussions. Assignments focus on creativity, expression of ideas, and comprehension of tools and techniques. In Sculpture 2 skills are refined through special individualized instruction.
