New Trier's Performing Arts Division supports students in a range of dance, music, and theatre programs outside of the school day. Students can explore their interests in a wide range of creative and collaborative clubs and organizations.

Lagniappe-Potpourri
Lagniappe-Potpourri is New Trier's variety show. It features student-created scenes, songs, and dances as well as student-designed sets, lights, props, and costumes. Students are supervised in all levels of production and decision-making including building, choreographing, composing, conducting, designing, directing, managing, marketing, performing, producing and writing.

Stage Crew
Stage Crew is offered 6 days a week. Students choose their own level of participation, days and frequency, according to their personal calendar. Most students participate 2-4x week, and may vary their schedule week by week.

SATURDAYS 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM - 4:00PM -
Drum line
If you play a percussion instrument, then you might be interested in joining the New Trier Drum line. Drum line supports the varsity football team by performing at New Trier Varsity football games at home. You do not have to be enrolled in a school ensemble course and incoming freshmen are very welcome!

NQA Improv Troupe
If you love “Second City” and “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”, you’ll love learning, practicing, and perfecting your improvisational comedy skills. NQA (No Questions Asked), New Trier’s after-school improv club and troupe, meets weekly and performs throughout the year. We welcome students who enjoy acting without a script, working with other creative students, and building skills that lead to performance.

Meetings & Location: Starting Wed. September 7, 2022 NQA will start meeting on the Winnetka Campus in W023 from 3:35 – 4:35. Freshmen are encouraged to continue participating by taking the NT shuttle to the Winnetka campus. (Ms. Kirsch will meet the freshmen outside the E building to ride the shuttle with them to Winnetka. More info on that to come at the August meetings.)

Northfield Dance Ensemble
Students in this innovative dance company practice dance techniques, choreograph original works and rehearse for Dance Days, the Northfield Dance Ensemble Showcase and other school-wide performances. All styles of dance may be a part of the performance. All dancers are welcome to join-freshmen through seniors and beginners through advanced. Leadership opportunities are available as well!

Pep Band
Support your team with your talent! Join musicians of all ages and perform popular music at the home football and basketball games!
Any student who currently plays a band instrument, bass, or electric guitar is welcome! Pep Band is a great way to learn a lot of new tunes and have a great time showing your school spirit with your fellow musicians at home football games, pep rallies, and basketball games.
Please note the following advisery rehearsals for the football season:- Thursday, September 1 (Upper Classmen only)

- Thursday, September 22 – (at Northfield from 8:00-8:25 in E321)

Soundtraks
Soundtraks is New Trier’s student-run video and audio production club. We record and live broadcast New Trier music and theater productions using multiple cameras, multi-track audio, and industry standard post-production editing software. No experience is required to join – we learn on the job! If you’d like using professional cameras and audio gear, this is the club for you. If you’re interested in mixing and editing audio using Logic Pro, check us out. If you want to develop your video editing chops, connect with us! Our first meeting takes place on Thursday, September 8th from 3:45 – 4:30. We’ll meet in the Soundtraks studio on the Winnetka campus, room W235 (next to the radio statio).
