Please prepare and memorize one of these monologues. Choose material that you feel best presents your voice and demonstrates your skills as a performer and storyteller. Casting considerations for some roles may be non-gender specific. If you would only like to be considered for a traditionally cast gender role please indicate so on your audition form.
General Auditions - open to everyone
Monday, October 9 from 3:15-4:15p in E221 (Northfield Theatre Classroom) and 5:00-7:00p in McGee Theatre, Winnetka Campus.
Note: Freshmen who would like to audition for Winter Play AND FSMW are encouraged to sign up for the 3:15 or 3:45 times at Northfield. LP crew should sign up for the 6 or 6:30 timeslot.
Tuesday, October 10 from 3:45-6p in McGee Theatre, Winnetka Campus
All New Trier productions rehearse M – F until 6PM and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM – 12PM and 1PM – 4PM. Not all students are called for each rehearsal. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin Monday, October 24. Technical and Dress rehearsals end by 8PM. Please review the production calendar for more information.

WHAT IS THE PLAY ABOUT?
Famed author Sheridan Whiteside possesses a sharp tongue and a sharper brain. On a lecture tour in Ohio, he slips on the ice and is confined to the home of a Stanleys. He proceeds to plunge the household into chaos, ruling the place like a czar and meddling in everyone’s love life. From crazy gifts to crazy guests to just dealing with Sheridan Whiteside himself, the Stanley family is in for a wild time.

WHAT IF I'M NOT CAST BUT I STILL WANT TO BE INVOLVED?
Stage Crew is a great way to get involved with the productions. All crews are open to anyone interested, and they are a lot of fun - no prior experience is necessary. If you are interested in joining the crew, please contact Mr. Jacobson (email@example.com).
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE AUDITIONS?
Make sure your hair is out of your face. Wear clothes that make you look and feel good. Do not wear costumes. Be prepared to move. In this show, students will wear character shoes or hard-soled dress shoes. Always avoid jeans, Uggs, flip-flops, or any shoes that make it difficult for you to move.
